Ebook yang beredar luas telah di konversi menjadi file dengan format pdf atau chm.
Kebetulan di rumah saya menggunakan Linux Ubuntu dengan versi Jaunty 9.04, untuk membaca ebook format pdf file tidak ada permasalahan sudah ada aplikasi bawaan ubuntu yaitu Document Viewer, namun untuk format chm harus di install terlebih dahulu.
Setelah dicari saya menemukan dua aplikasi untuk membaca/melihat file berformat chm di Ubuntu yaitu ; GnoCHM dan XCHM.
GnoCHM di buat oleh by Rubens Ramos (). Keterangan tentang GnoCHM bisa di lihat di http://gnochm.sourceforge.net/ dan yang terakhir XCHM.
XCHM dibuat oleh by Razvan Cojocaru (razvanco@gmx.net) website-nya ada di http://xchm.sourceforge.net/.
Tidak usah panjang lebar lagi kita langsung install saja file tersebut, untuk install GnoCHM, buka terminal ketikkan perintah ;
sudo aptitude install gnochmdan XCHM gunakan perintah berikut ;
sudo aptitude install xchmSemoga bermanfaat.
