Install Driver Wifi for Compaq Presario V3000 on CentOS 5.2

1. Install Ndiswrapper
# yum install dkms-ndiswrapper

2. Create Directory for driver wireless
# mkdir driverwifi

3. Change directory and Download driver wifi
# cd driverwifi
# wget http://myspamb8.googlepages.com/R174291-pruned.zip
# unzip R151517-pruned.zip

4. Check files extracted
# ls -l
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13665 Nov 8 07:28 bcm43xx64.cat
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13675 Nov 8 07:28 bcm43xx.cat
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1291264 Nov 8 07:28 bcmwl564.sys
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 744728 Nov 8 07:28 bcmwl5.inf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1123328 Nov 8 07:28 bcmwl5.sys
5. Install driver wifi
# ndiswrapper -i bcwml5.inf

Check driver is already installed or not
# ndiswrapper -l
bcmwl5 : driver installed
device (14E4:4315) present

If already installed, add driver to the modules of kernel linux
# modprobe ndiswrapper

write an alias for wlan0
# ndiswrapper -m

6. Reboot system.
